Acabamos de superar la pandemia más devastadora de la historia. Sin embargo, dejó al descubierto las debilidades de muchos Sistemas de Salud en el mundo, entre ellos el mexicano. Vivimos en la Era de la Colaboración o al menos así la tendríamos que asimilar también en el Sistema de Salud Mexicano. Guillermo Torre nos cuenta una posible vía desde su experiencia. Guillermo Torre is a medical surgeon from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Residency in internal medicine, specialty in cardiology with transplant treatment and training in interventions at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Holds a Doctoral degree with a specialty in Immunology at the University of Chicago.
He has been Professor of Medicine in the Department of Cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine and at Weil Cornell Medical School.
Founder of the Methodist Hospital Transplant Laboratory in Houston.
He was director of the Heart Failure and Heart Transplant service at Methodist Hospital in Houston and a Board Member of the DeBakey Heart Center at Methodist Hospital in Houston.
Member of the National System of Researchers level 3.
He currently practices private medical practice as an interventional cardiologist at TecSalud.
