Blade Runner is a 1997 adventure game for the PC originally developed by Westwood Studios. Thanks to the diligent work of the SCUMMVM community, the original game was backwards engineered into working with modern operating systems. Nightdive Studios have taken advantage of this fact and will be rereleasing the game in some form on current consoles in the future. The SCUMMVM version is available freely to anyone in possession of an original copy of the game or can be bought via GOG through their online storefront.
In this video essay, I attempt to establish why a person should play Blade Runner, regardless of their gaming background.
