✨GUR MAKHANA✨
Healthy-ish snacking, but make it tasty 😋
✨INGREDIENTS ✨
•Jaggery-1/2 cup (grated or chopped)
•Makhana (lotus seed)-2 cups
•Ghee -2 tbsp
•White sesame seeds- 1/2 tbsp
✨STEPS✨
•Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a kadhai.
•Add makhana and roast on low–medium heat till they turn crisp and crunchy. Keep stirring.
•Remove the roasted makhana and keep aside. Let it cool down.
•In the same kadhai, add 1 tbsp ghee and then add gur and let it melt on low flame (no water needed).
•Once the gur becomes bubbly and smooth, add white sesame seeds and mix it well.
•Add the roasted makhana and quickly mix till all pieces are well coated.
•Switch off the flame and spread them on a plate to cool. They’ll turn nicely crunchy as they cool down.
TIP: Stir fast once makhana goes into gur—jaggery sets quickly!
