ABOUT SYLVIA:
Sylvia Browder is s a strong advocate for business, she worked in nonprofit for nearly a decade as a Project Director and Business Consultant for The Women's Business Center; and served as a volunteer Counselor for SCORE. Both organizations are funded through Small Business Administration, (SBA).

To continue her passion and support for small business; she launched Browder Consulting Group in 2010. The firms’ mission is to help women with startup and growth assistance, marketing, website and graphic design work and other support services.

She also started blogging and became the publisher of ‘Sylvia Browder’s Lifestyle & Business Blog’. To date, this award-winning blog has over 1100 articles, and written interviews where she profiled authors and successful business owners and resources.

In 2020, she founded Black Women United Inc., a community she created out of the need to support black women. The organization’s mission is to provide professional and personal resources while uplifting and empowering women through advocacy, education, mentoring, coaching, and entrepreneurial and leadership support.

She has been dubbed ‘Serial Entrepreneur.’ She is the former CEO of Specialty Home Services LLC, where she oversaw the day-to-day operations of a maintenance crew performing Home Improvement, Maintenance and Repair Services for Homeowners, Property Managers and Realtors.

In 2021, Sylvia became a Licensed Independent Claims Adjuster in over 27 States where she is charged with evaluating insurance claims to determine the insurer's liability under an owner's policy. In addition, she supports her husband in the family’s catering business.

She has co-authored several published books. Most recently, the anthology “Unlock the ICON Within.” Her chapter title is: “Full Circle”.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Matroy Sr., of 33+ years; 5 adult children and 5 grandchildren; in church where they hold leadership positions; with friends and motorcycle riding.
