OpenHamClock is a free, open-source amateur radio dashboard built by the ham radio community. It provides a comprehensive real-time view of band conditions, DX activity, and space weather. In this project, we create a dedicated kiosk to display OpenHamClock on a 10.1-inch LCD screen using the Banana Pi M4 Zero SBC.
This video walks through the entire construction process, starting with the system software. We demonstrate how to craft a minimal, plug-and-play OS image using Armbian, Openbox, and Chromium. On the hardware side, you will see the physical assembly, including the preparation of the acrylic mounting unit and the installation of the Banana Pi M4 Zero.
