Trang An is a scenic landscape complex located next to Tam Coc in the Ninh Binh Province, Vietnam. It is renowned for its stunning karst limestone mountains, serene rivers, and ancient caves. Trang An was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014 for its outstanding cultural, aesthetic, and geological value.
The Trang An complex spans an area of approximately 10,000 hectares and is characterized by its unique topography. The landscape features limestone karsts that rise from the flat rice paddies, creating a breathtaking natural setting. The area is intersected by a network of crystal-clear rivers and streams, which meander through caves and valleys.
Trang An can be explored on traditional wooden boats, guided by local rowers. The boat tours take you through the winding waterways, passing under low-hanging limestone cliffs and through dark caves adorned with stalactites and stalagmites. There are 3 routes that you can take. This video follows route 3 that features 3 caves and 3 temples.
What makes this route remarkable is that one of the cave is 1km long and the last temple is the site where part of the movie Kong was recorded.
This video retrace almost the complete boat tour in silent. So, enjoy =)
