This is not just a village — this is a reality that remains unseen and unheard.

We recently visited a small, remote village surrounded entirely by dense forest. Life here is extremely difficult. Young children walk nearly 2 kilometers every day through dangerous jungle paths just to reach another village where a small Anganwadi education center exists. There is no school in their own village.

There are no regular job opportunities here. To earn a living, villagers walk 8–10 kilometers daily to nearby areas for work. Even then, they get work for only 10–15 days in a month, surviving hand-to-mouth on daily wages.

Every five years, during elections, leaders arrive asking for votes. But once the votes are taken, no government facilities, no welfare schemes, no development ever reach this village.

Being surrounded by forest, wild animals frequently enter the village. There are no solar lights or proper lighting, so people live in constant fear, especially at night, not knowing where danger might be hiding.

The village has many elderly people aged 60–70+, yet they receive no pension or government support. Roads are unpaved and broken. In case of medical emergencies, even ambulance services like 108 cannot reach the village.

These are not just problems — this is everyday life for them.
