Starting April 1, 2024, the filing fee for the I-140 application is $715, and the filing fee for Form I-485, which includes the biometric fee, is $1440. Additionally, as of April 1, separate fees are required for both the Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and Advance Parole, even if filed concurrently with the I-485 application.

According to the new USCIS fee hike final rule, some forms have a grace period from April 1, 2024, to July 3, 2024. During this time, both previous and new versions of the forms are accepted, as long as they are filed with the correct fee. However, the Form I-140 application does not fall under this grace period.

USCIS will determine whether you have used the correct version of the form and paid the appropriate filing fee based on the postmarked date. Stay informed about immigration updates to make well-informed decisions.
