Join our new Pioneer trip to the Island of Hawaii (affectionately also known as the Big Island). This is the youngest and largest island in the Hawaiian archipelago - twice the size of all the others combined. The Big Island is less than a million years old and still growing. Kilauea, the world’s most active volcano, spews lava down to the sea and this volcanic activity generates a unique landscape of black lava, scattered with lush arable pasture, desert, and humid valleys.
