With just one week until the official worldwide launch of the new "F1 The Movie", I remembered that during the 2023 edition of the F1 Italian GP at Monza, I managed to record some clips of the APX GP cars in action during some shots of the movie, made in between the various F1 sessions
The protagounist of the movie, Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), is a former F1 driver of the '90s who retired after a serious incident with Ayrton Senna. After meeting with the APX GP team owner and friend Ruben, who manages to convince Sonny to come out of retirement, lining-up alongside rookie and F1 prodigy Joshua "Noah" Pearce (Damson Idris)
The car used in the movie is a Dallara F2 car modified with a F1 aero-package made in collaboration with the Mercedes-AMG F1 team and Carlin Motorsport
