Here's a short clip of a recording session at my home studio #LunaStudios in LA. Client wanted dead drums, 70s vibes and crunch. I'm using my beloved Late 70s/Early 80s Gretsch drums with no bottom heads or front head (20" 12" 14" with towels to make them even more dead. The snare is a 1969 Ludwig Acrolite with a towel covering 30% of the drum, again for that really dead sound, compression will open it up a bit so this is as dead as I could get it before it started losing the "tone". The Hihat is a 40s or 50s (not sure) 14" Zildjian cymbal.
