In this episode I head deep into Bundjalung National Park for a fully solo remote camping and kayak fishing adventure. No crowds. No phone service. Just tannin-stained freshwater, waves crashing in the background and whatever wants to eat my lure.
The campsite is unreal! Tucked between a dark, tea-tree stained creek on one side and the open beach on the other. It honestly feels like stepping back in time. The bird life out here is next level too… waking up to that soundtrack alone is worth the trip.
Fishing-wise, this trip delivered. Mixed species session with plenty of action and I even landed my PB bass, which made the whole mission unforgettable. There’s something different about catching your best fish when you’re completely alone in the wild.
This trip is what kayak fishing and remote camping is all about — self-reliance, simplicity, and those moments that remind you why you get out there in the first place.
