A toddler is dead and 10 others were injured, including seven children, after a vehicle smashed through the window at the First Roots Early Education Academy in Richmond Hill, Ont., on Wednesday.
York Regional Police said a car drove through the window of the building near Yonge Street and Nottingham Drive around 3 p.m., striking several staff and young children.
A man described as in his 70s is under arrest and police believe the incident is not pre-meditated.
