TREMEC TKX repair. Bad shim and missing spacers.

Описание: This customer sent me this unit after another shop went through it. The shop had never done a TKX before from what the customer had said. Regardless the shimming is no different from any other manual transmission. Either way I got the unit and fixed him up. I figured out why he left out the spacer on 1st and 3rd. He got the needle bearings in the wrong place. 1st and 2nd are the same yellow needle bearing and 3rd is a black. 3rd gear needle bearing is just a bit longer than 1st and 2nd. The spacer would not fit with the 3rd gear needle bearing in 1st. I got that swapped back and added the spacers. The spacers keep the needle bearings in place. They are needed. The main thing here is the shimming. It was grossly out of spec. I brought it to a zero lash spec. This guy will be happier than ever now. Big difference from what it came in and leaving as. another one down the road!
