Bourtange is a tiny village with a population of 430 in the Netherlands. Fort Bourtange was built in 1593 during the Dutch Revolt and was used until 1851. The star fort was gradually restored to its mid-18th-century state and it is currently an open-air museum. The mill was constructed inside the fort so milling could continue even during siege.

I filmed the scenes with the DJI Mini 2. The 4K 100mb/s image quality of this drone is amazing, and for photographers and cinematographers the DJI Mini 2 is the stuff of dreams. Right before sunset I shot about 30Gb worth of video, of which less than a quarter had this beautiful lighting. My only regret is that I left the camera on "auto", resulting in ever so subtle changes in exposure and shutter speed, despite the smoothness of the shots. Editing was done in Adobe Premiere.
