Here's something a little different this week - a video game cover! This time some music from Sonic Mania.

The opening animation for this new sonic game is RAD!    • Sonic Mania - Opening Animation   I was blown away by how awesome and energetic it was! Just incredible, fun, happy music!

The name of the Sonic Mania Opening Theme Music is "Friends" by Hyper Potions, which was written for the game. I'm familiar with Hyper Potions from the Monstercat Podcast so it was really cool to discover who wrote it! That was only after I had made the arrangement though, since I just heard AMAZING music and I wanted to play it on piano!

I'll probably be picking up the game on Steam - I already have so many games! Sonic is just a great series though. I played Sonic Generations a while ago and that's a fantastic one. So Sonic Mania will be the next one. Another for my over-full Steam library!

I've been helping Theishter (   / tehishter  ) with his sheet music releases for his patreon and this arrangement is somewhat inspired by his style, which involves a lot of more intricate techniques. Thanks Ishter!
