Описание: Today on Bunker Wednesday we’re looking at one of the most iconic pieces of Cold War civil defence kit, the Plessey PDRM-82 radiation detector.

☢️ Issued from the early 1980s to the Royal Observer Corps (ROC) and local Civil Defence units, this bright orange fallout meter was designed to monitor deadly radiation levels after a nuclear strike.
🪖 The Army even had its own olive drab battlefield version, while ROC posts were fitted with the PDRM-82(F) a fixed model with an external probe for monitoring fallout outside the post.
