Описание: We discussed the European Commission's recently formed Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Internet Standards Deployment.

The Forum’s main objective is to develop multi-stakeholder guidance identifying the relevant Internet standards and best practices that apply to compliance with the NIS2 Directive. The Forum has been asked to address requirements for network-layer communication protocols, the deployment of internationally agreed and interoperable e-mail standards, the application of best practices for DNS security, and measures for Internet routing security and routing hygiene.

The guidance to be developed by the Forum will serve as a reference for the relevant entities within the scope of NIS2. These include DNS service providers, TLD registries, cloud computing and data centre service providers, content delivery network providers, managed service and managed security providers, and providers of online marketplaces, search engines, social networking services, platforms and trust services.

Philippe Fouquart of Orange Labs , Ross Gibson of Infoblox and Jim Mozley, also of Infoblox, all participated in the first meeting of the stakeholder group. They shared their thoughts and impressions before taking comments and questions from other participants on the call.
