Yesterday we took a trip to the last vintage weekend of the winter season at Old Sarum, Wiltshire, England.
We finaly had some good weather (makes a change from snow!) and there was plenty of activity in the air as well as on the ground.
Highlight of the day for me was getting a look round the cockpits of two English Electric Canbera bombers, my old Grandad spoke fondly of his time on radar test flights in Canberas.
There were classic and vintage cars, motorcycles as well as vintage and modern aircraft. Finest of the vintage aircraft was a Miles Messenger in invasion livery, there were several pipe cubs, an Auster Autocrat, Tiger Moth and many other interesting types.
The Vintage Weekends start again in September, it is well worth the trip.
