Danny Nelson won for the sixth time at a national event when he defeated Prescott Dean in the final. Nelson was sharp on both ends of the track with a .002 light and a 6.124 against his 6.10 dial, and Dean was just a thousandth of a second behind with a 6.351 on his 6.34 dial. With the win, Nelson has moved into second place behind current leader Bertozzi.
