FACES is a Phone2AV participatory light installation that explores the paradox of our hyperconnected yet disconnected world. In 2025, FACES travelled across Europe, taking part in three international light festivals.
Through a simple and intimate gesture — a selfie — thousands of participants actively shaped each iteration of the work, transforming architectural façades into living, dynamic, and ever-evolving collective portraits.
The installation was presented at Visualia Festival in Pula (Croatia), GLOW Festival in Eindhoven (the Netherlands), and Kolding Light Festival in Kolding (Denmark). With over 15,000 selfies submitted, FACES demonstrated how participation can become a powerful tool for redefining and collectively shaping public space.
