In this video I am sharing my experience of driving from UK to Europe (London to Netherlands).
We reached Dover Port an hour before our ferry departure time. Check-in with passport and visa went smooth at Dover. Since we had reached early, they allowed us to board the earlier ferry saving us 40 mins.
But while returning at Calais Port we were late at check-in gate by 10 mins because of a bridge closure at Dunkirk (due to which we had to reroute). The ferry was going to depart 50 mins after. They did not allow us to board that ferry and next ferry was after 2 hours. Spent a good close to 3 hours at Calais port. Hence, suggest everyone to be on time to not miss your ferry.
