Mischief is reactive to other dogs-so one of our main goals is to help her learn how to be neutral around another dog.
But this is an extremely big challenge. In order to prepare her for that training, we have to increase her impulse control first. And we do this by adding in other challenges into the training.
It’s important that we increase the dog’s ability to control her impulses, but we also want to help the owner learn how to engage with her dog during stressful, uncertain or exciting times.
This is one example of how we are adding impulse control activities into Mischief’s training.
