Construction 3D Printing (C3DP) aka 3D Construction Printing (3DCP)
Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing, is an Additive Manufacturing (AM) process within the realm of material extrusion. FDM builds parts layer by layer by selectively depositing fluid material in a predetermined path.
3D printing of concrete is a rapidly growing additive manufacturing technology, bringing advantages like freedom of geometry, scalable construction, reduced construction time, and reduced waste, etc.
NOTE: autonomous robotic construction system (ARCS), large-scale additive manufacturing (LSAM), or freeform construction (FC) refer to other sub-groups.
