Please listen Friday Meditative Compline for June 16, 2023 or follow along in “The Book of Offices and Services of The Order of Saint Luke”Compline is the office that completes the day. It has been called the bedtime prayer of the church. It opens with a significant time of silence.
The mood of the entire office is one of peace and tranquility.
Both speaking and singing are done quietly.
Beginning and end times of silence may be marked by the sound of a meditation bowl or bell.
The service ends in silence.
