The Huawei Nova 5 series has been in the rumor mills for a while. As announced earlier, the company today launched the Nova 5i, Nova 5, and Nova 5 Pro smartphones. The company also introduced the all-new Kirin 810 chipset based on 7nm FinFET node. In the first half of 2019, the company has already reached 100 million milestones. Talking about the devices, the Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro comes with high-end hardware. The Huawei Nova 5i settles with the mid-range specifications. While the Nova 5i comes with a punch-hole display, the Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro comes with waterdrop notch displays.

The Huawei Nova 5i is the budget smartphone with some interesting specifications. It comes with a 6.4-inch punch-hole display with Full HD+ (2310 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, the device comes powered by the 12nm Kirin 710 octa-core chipset. It packs 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be further expandable up to 512GB. It also comes with a quad camera set up on the rear featuring 24MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with an 8MP super-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor.

There is a 24MP camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front for selfies. Unlike the Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro, the Nova 5i sports rear-facing fingerprint scanner. It also runs on the latest EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9.0 Pie. It is kept powered on by a 4,000mAh battery but only offers 10W (5V/2A) power input.
