During a visit to Hormozgan province, Nikzad said Iran will not step back from asserting control over the strait, praising both local forces and the armed forces stationed in the region.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump said he had been briefed on a potential Iran-related deal but was still awaiting formal wording, warning that military strikes could resume if Tehran “misbehaves.”
