No Mow May has garnered a lot of media attention in the past few years. It’s catchy and succinct, but is it the best fit for your community this spring -- and will pausing mowing for a few weeks really save the bees? Join Xerces Society Outreach and Education Director Matthew Shepherd and Bee City USA Coordinator Laura Rost for a presentation on low mow and no mow options, and how No Mow May can be an opening to talk to the public about what really needs doing to protect pollinators during this important time of the year. We’ll allow plenty of time for discussion, so feel free to share your research and strategies.
