Tutorial on how to change a Fuel Pump Realy and an OVP relay.
Symptoms of bad either are hard to start, low RPMs (300-600), seemingly weak response, won't start at all, fuel pump not whirring when key is on '3' position, and problems with uneven throttle.
It is advised to rip these parts from a junkyard initially, as these may run you anywhere from $60.00 - $500.00+ at a shop or dealer. It was $5.00 for the Fuel Pump Relay, and $4.00 for the OVP Relay at my local junkyard. If the car starts and runs fine after you install the junkyard parts, then consider buying a brand new one from a shop. If you buy these relays straight from a shop without consulting your local salvage yard, you may be out several hundred dollars if that wasn't the problem.
