Tambourin is a dance in lively duple time, supposedly inspired by a folk dance from Provence in southern France accompanied by pipe and drum (tambour). There are many faster versions on YouTube using probably double tongue at the piu vivo section. However, the suggested tempo for the grade 6 exam is a quarter note to 108 that I think it is a very good chance to develop good single tongue at this stage of playing then work on double tongue on the way to grade 7.
Very light, clear and lively articulation is a good way to deliver the piece's character. Since the piece is quite repetitive, contrasting dynamics would make the piece more interesting to listen to.
