Abstract: Aquatic invasive species (AIS) pose an increasing threat to Alberta’s ecosystems, economy, and the vital services our waters provide. While some species capture public attention, many remain unnoticed by most Albertans, until their impacts become undeniable. This presentation highlights the “lurking” invaders that have slipped past prevention efforts, taken hold, and are now spreading, bringing significant ecological and economic consequences to the province.
