According to Al-Jadeed TV, during Ramadan, Saudi Arabia will be visited by Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
During a diplomatic spat last year, after he was refused and the ambassador of Saudi Arabia was returned to Beirut as well, it’s yet another indicator of strengthening ties between both countries.
Due to the growing prominence of the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement, relations between two countries have been tense for years.
In the past Lebanon was highly boosted by Saudi Arabia and other affluent Gulf states.
On Thursday, in response to the Lebanese government's commitments to deepen cooperation and strengthen ties with the Gulf, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait confirmed that their ambassadors will return to Lebanon.
