Thanks to JMSSAWS for the idea, this is how I split a husqvarna 394xp chassis without using a case splitting tool. heat and a rubber mallet are good enough! next time I'll try removing the seals first, then heating the inner race of the bearing, and then hit it, and see if the bearing stays in the case, and the crank fall out of the bearing. .... there's always next time :)
