Описание: Láyẹ̀wú or Ìyẹ́kíyẹ́ is an Egúngún Ọdẹ characterized and known with the Yorùbá hunters—Ọdẹ—and their Ìjálá—One of the Yorùbá oral literature. Egúngún Ọdẹ parades and visits family, friends and relatives from house-to-house every three years, where they chant (using Ìjálá Aré Ọdẹ) Oríkì Orílẹ̀—their ancestral eulogy—and pray for individuals.

This documentary tells the story behind Láyẹ̀wú—its origin, role, character, and performance—using Egúngún Ọdẹ of Ọ̀gálá's Compound, Òkèlérin, Ògbómọ̀ṣọ́, Nigeria as a case study.
