For me, Wilderness is special because it's an album that I approached from the very first note with a singular vision of what I was aiming for creatively and artistically, with the music. It's also the very first album that I've used my own voice, and vocals. It's my most ambitious album so far, and I believe it is a direct, authentic expression of my music and voice, in this moment in time.

People talk about going out and reconnecting with nature. They talk about a happy place, going somewhere where they can decompress and reconnect with themselves, with loved ones, with memories, and with their dreams. A lot of times that picture is represented in the wilderness, in nature, the great expanse of outdoors.
Music has always been that place, for me. It is that wilderness for me that I go to where I can really connect with myself, dreams and ideas to reflect on.

So from the very first note of Wilderness, I wanted to make sure that the music was something that would bring you to this place within yourself, and that the music and the notes wouldn't distract from experiencing this place within.

I believe that the music is in all of us and It comes out in different ways. Yes I am a composer, I am an artist, and I make music, but really the music ONLY happens when those notes are played for you when you receive them and they take you somewhere -for me, that's really the value of music.
