We started on Sunday 14th July at 9am - Bastille Day! Simon and Fig, myself and Puddle on the Ridgeway. At 5,000 years its Britains oldest road! Used over the millenia by Bronze, Neolithic, Roman and Saxon people.
Considering how central the Ridgeway is, it's remarkably quiet, peaceful and beautiful. You really feel that you are in the foot steps of the previous users!
The weather was kind to us with only one day of full sunshine and minimal rain.
I finished with Rob at 4pm on Friday 19th, sweaty, exhausted but very happy! Particularly as there was a car with cold beers waiting for us!
Next year - The Cotswold Way!
