The Trinamool Congress and the Congress party are engaged in a verbal brawl, with the TMC promising a monthly grant of Rs 5000 to women from each family in Goa. Former Finance Minister, Chidambaram says God save Goa. He tweeted that a monthly grant of 5000 rupees to women in 3.5 lakh Goa households would cost 175 crore rupees per month, and 2100 crore rupees per year. He made a sarcastic remark about the TMC, claiming that Goa already has an outstanding debt of 2374 crore as of the end of March last year.
