Grossglockner - top of Austria with some fresh snow (skimountaineering)

Описание: This winter a lot of skiing we did was in Austria. So we decided to go to the highest peak - Grossglockner 3798 m.
At midnight we started aproach over Pasterze glacier. After some time we finally reached bottom of the line. First part ok, soft, than over avalanche debris and over couloir to reach Hofmannkees glacier. Here we went on skis, higher we were the better snow was. Daylight and visibility is coming. Before flat part of glacier (little bellow Adlersruhe hut) we experienced magic sunrise. Can't describe those colours and dynamic composition of clouds. As many times this winter it was impossible to not take photos. I can't decide what is harder breaking a trail with so nice sunrise or in deep powder?
Snow was so good that we wanted to ski it as soon as possible. We proceeded towards summit. Here we divided into two groups. Me, @reakolbl and Bor K. decided to go to the summit. Great weather and conditions, but for sure lower down snow won't be as good as skiing it immediately. Great views from ridge on all the mountains around with fresh coat of snow. At Kleinglockner we decided it was too technical in current state for our knowledge and experience. Also it would took some additional time. So we descended back to the skis. We skied over Kleinglocknerkees glacier - still great skiing - humid powder.

At Pasterze we put boots off and enjoy glacier beach - nobody brave enough to swim😅
