Today I'm chatting with y'all about my thought process when evaluating whether I should stay at my current job or if I should start looking for other options.

I did want to clarify - not getting a promotion should not be the only factor when deciding to be at a job. If you received feedback on concrete reasons you didn't get the promotion and know what you need to work on, at least you still have career advancement opportunities in the future. However in my case, there were no concrete reasons other than politics. So if you still have a supportive future somewhere, that should have weight in your decision :)
