The top half of this white oak board was treated with Fumed, a tannin reactive product, and the lower half was treated with a non-reactive pretreatment, Pre-Aging, in the color “Fumed Light”! The color difference between the two is subtle, but Fumed only reacts on wood species with high tannin levels and the reaction intensity can vary based on the tannin content in the wood.
Oil Plus 2C "Pure" was used to finish the entire board.
