Casey and Dawson's relationship is tested after a revelation about Cordova. A private ambulance company joins Brett and Dawson on several calls and tempts Dawson to consider joining them until she sees their less-than-Hippocratic ethics. After Otis tracks the parents of a young boy rescued from a swimming pool accident, and gives the boy to his father, the mother sues the CFD and the city—until Otis discovers it's a fraud. Severide and Stella get a shock from Severide's father Benny when they return home from a shift.
