I have recorded the audio in 1988 and it was one of the first songs I dared to sing! This wonderful song by Chris Rea was originally released in 1978 and was his first big success. My equipment was very much limited these days. I used an Atari 1040 computer with the sequenzer SW Steinberg 24. Backing tracks where done by a Korg DS-8 Synth and a Roland U110 sampling expander. I played the guitar parts on my cheap black Ibanez Roadstar. For the vocal recording I had a cheap dynamic microphone and the only effect (reverb) came from an Alesis Microverb. Recording was on a Yamaha 4 track studio MT 4X.
It was all sung in one go with out any over dubbing. I have used it for this video without any further editing so you might recognise some shortcomings.
And of course I don't have any rights for this wonderful song.
I hope you will enjoy this trip into the early days of my recordings!
