In this fishing adventure I launch solo out of the Esquimalt Anglers Association into calm glassy waters. I hook into a few pink salmon and land two nice Chinook worth keeping.
Friends and family join midday, the fishing slows down so we cool off at Witty’s Lagoon with some swimming and hand-picking Dungeness crabs. To finish the day, we bottom troll Constance Bank and catch a few lingcod.
Even with only one Chinook kept, it was an amazing day on the water! If you love fishing, crabbing, and summer fun in Victoria, this one’s for you.
