Hello, I'm Nafis Ali, today we'll be discussing the entire 56 years legacy of the Pullman Standard 01500's & 01600's Type 1 Red Line Cars operating for 56 years on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority or the MBTA Red Line Rapid Transit System operating in the cities of Cambridge, Somerville, Boston, Quincy, and Braintree, Massachusetts. We'll diving into the full history of these cars from the South Shore Extension, contract with the American Car Foundry Pullman Standard USA, Engineering, Delivery, Advancements, Service Life, Mid-Life Overhaul, Service Life, Decline, Retirement, and Scrapping.
