Описание: Dr. Tom Neal, originally from Providence, Rhode Island, serves as Chief of Evangelization and Mission Engagement for the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee. After a life-changing encounter with Christ while studying at Florida State University, he discerned a vocation to marriage and lay ecclesial service, earning an M.A. in Theology from St. Mary’s Seminary and University and a Ph.D. in Religion from Florida State University, where he wrote his dissertation on St. John of the Cross. He has spent nearly 30 years serving the Church’s catechetical mission in Florida, Des Moines, and in New Orleans at Notre Dame Seminary, where he was Professor of Theology, co-founder and director of the Institute of Lay Ecclesial Ministry, and Academic Dean. He has also taught with the Institute for Priestly Formation at Creighton University. Dr. Neal is an active blogger and co-hosts the diocesan podcast Sharing the Faith. He and his wife Patti, a music director at Nativity, have been married for 30 years and have four adult children and a grandson; he enjoys nature, writing, biking and time with his family.
