Описание: The Ghana Health Service seeks to improve the health status of all people living in Ghana through the development and promotion of proactive policies for good health and longevity; the provision of universal access to basic quality health care which is affordable shall be delivered in a humane, efficient, and effective manner by well-trained, friendly, highly motivated, and client-oriented staff. This makes it necessary to improve on the efficiency of HR management in relation to promotions within the Service so as to ensure there is consistency and certainty in all matters affecting promotion of employees in the Service.
For the purposes of this policy, Promotion is defined as the elevation of an employee from a lower grade to a higher grade and/or status within the same job class in the Service. Promotion in the Service is aimed at motivating employees, nurturing their commitment, and encouraging retention of competent and experienced employees.
