Wood is a natural habitat for many of our wildlife species, and you can easily recreate a habitat for many woodland species right in your garden. A log pile can support a great range of wildlife, including moss, fungi and insects and other invertebrates, and it can also attract small mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds that will feed on the smaller residents!
