Previously, the part explored the pleasant fishing village of Lonalulu in the southeast. Now, they will sail out and help take care of a giant squid problem in the sea near the village.
After Zooming to Lonalulu - Sea, the party sails west and soon finds the fishing fleet. The Tentacular will surface, and the party must battle it. If they got the Kanono Cannon from the cannon lady on the southeast cliff in Lonalulu, the Tentacular will be dazed and debuffed for a couple of turns, which could be critical if you are on super-strong monster mode. The Tentacular has a Right Tentacle and a Left Tentacle that can attack on their own and take damage in place of Tentacular. The Tentacular's abilities include ice breath and group tentacle attacks that may daze party members.
Sylvando's Hustle Dance comes in handy for healing. If you are relying on Hustle Dance, bring Magic Waters to restore Sylvando's MP, or use Rab's M-Pathy to transfer MP from Rab to Sylvando. Serena's Kabuff spell and Hymn of Ice ability are helpful for cutting down on damage. Davilas and Jade can do a lot of damage to the Tentacular and its tentacles if Oomphed. Buffs tend to wear off very quickly in this installment, so be ready to reestablish them. If the Tentacular puts party members to sleep with Sweet Breath, Sylvando or Erik can wake the party up with Cock-a-Doodle-Doo. In case of party deaths, bring along Yggdrasil Leaves.
Afterwards, the villagers invite the party back to Lonalulu for a well-deserved luau! However, their goal is to find Kai, who is working on a boat at the docks. He introduces himself as Kainui. He expands on the story that the storyteller told at the church. He asks the party to meet him at Saikiki Beach, accessible through the back door of the church.
After going through the church's back door, the party arrives at Saikiki Beach. On the northern side of the cabin on the hill, a chest contains Mini Medal #024.
In the cabin, the party finds Kainui. He asks the party to tell the mermaid the truth and give her the Lovers' Veil.
Next time, the party will take the Lovers' Veil to Michelle at the Strand.
Thanks for watching!
