Catching mutton snapper is always fun, but there's something about catching mutton snapper in shallow water that is such a blast. Fighting big fish is more intense in shallow water as they can run fast on the patch reefs to try and get away.

Key largo and the rest of the Florida keys is an amazing place to do some patch reef fishing and secure yourself a catch and cook episode. Snapper is one of our favorite fish to catch clean and cook. Snapper meat is white and juicy! Catch and cook snapper all day!

I try to be as informative as possible in showing you how to catch mutton snapper in key largo. But this really will work on how to catch mutton snapper in the Florida keys. We also catch a monster red grouper, but he was out of season so we threw back the grouper.
