Unified Soldiers

Описание: Words by Rev Sun Myung Moon. The melody is a folk tune of Taegu City in Korea. This song was composed to comfort and encourage members who had been sent out to pioneer the countryside. Taegu is a town with a good educational system and has many fervent Christians. Partly because of this, the opposition here was extreme, almost enough to create Heavenly resentment. *

l. The world comes to life on the bond of heart, Bring the world into one, its original tie. The eternal give and take of our home (i.e. community) On this foundation of happiness, we shall live forever. We are the proud unified soldiers Bravely, we unite our hearts and march forward.

2. In our eternal personality we radiate light (an image of perfected man) Becoming a lighthouse of glory to the creation. Our true self overflows with life With the greatest hope we will make it blossom** We are the proud unified soldiers; Bravely, we sacrifice for His Will and march forward.

3. On the foundation of order, we will establish truth; Unchanging value promises eternity. The banner of truth which is held high Decorates the good days of eternity. We are the proud unified soldiers; Bravely we loudly proclaim and march forward.

4. The shining culture from the East illuminates (the world) All men shall be brothers in that light. And attend the Parents of goodness for whom we have been waiting. Let's go accomplish the unified world. We are the proud Unified Soldiers. Bravely, we march forward into that world.

(Note the themes of each verse: 1. heart; 2. character; 3. truth for the world; 4. new culture.) ** (Confident assertion that we will reach the highest standard of character.) Around 1965 some members walked a long distance to partially retrace the course Father had gone before when he walked from Pyong Yang to Pusan. This ten day march was very difficult for these members. Their feet became swollen, their bodies tired, but even in this hardship they sang this song to keep persevering and finally every one of them completed the course.
